The summer is officially here. The Lookout's Summer at Kame House series kicks off with our review of Solo Leveling Season 1. Meelz, LJ, and AD discuss how we feel about Crunchyroll's Anime of the Year, and dive into the characters, the threats, the world building, Sung Jin-woo, and what it represents in this new generation of anime.

AD takes over for a special episode to talk with special guests, Patrick (IG: Reaperlomein) and Ant (IG: apollo_seed13), about their experience at Dream Con 2025 in Houston.

Meelz and LJ enter the final stretch of their Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist Kingdom recap. After a quick dive into the 2025 Anime Awards results, the hosts break down the post-arc content: Shadi’s mysterious return, Rebecca’s chaotic episodes, the RPG mini-arc, and the introduction of Dungeon Dice Monsters.

This week, Dee & Jay take it back to the 90's with the intriguing theatrical finale to Neon Genesis Evangelion, The End of Evangelion. The hosts are headed to Duel Academy as they cover the Graduation Ceremony duel between the school's greatest Senior duelist, Kaiser Ryo, and the series' main character, Judai Yuki! LJ and AD begin 2025 with their review of One Piece's Fishman Island Saga, starting with the Return to Sabaody Arc (Episode 517) and leading into the Straw Hat Pirate's arrival to Fishman Island (Episode 527).

This week, the hosts tap in with another of their favorite anime battles in Hunter x Hunter's climactic bout between Gon & the Chimera Ant, Pitou. Tune in as they cover the events leading up to their bout, the missed opportunities that the 2011 anime had in adding emotional weight to their reason for clashing against one another & the effect that an entire story arc's worth of events had on Gon Freeces that would change the series of Hunter x Hunter dramatically from there on.
