Five On The Floor: Miami Heat/NBA

It’s no secret the Miami Heat were very disappointing in the first game of the season, losing handily to the Minnesota Timberwolves 131-106. Greg Sylvander & Sean Rochester review some key home opener blowouts from the past to see if history tells us anything about this team based off the opener.

There's been plenty of talk about how dynamic the Miami Heat defense would be this season, and there it was passive and porous in the opening loss to Minnesota. How much of this was the drop scheme? How much was on the players? And what will we see against Detroit. Ethan Skolnick and Brady Hawk discuss.

That went about as poorly as it could have. Giannis scored plenty in his first Miami Heat regular season game.... but the Heat's defense was subpar throughout against Anthony Edwards (45 points) and others, and then the offense collapsed also. Ethan Skolnick and Digital Adel recapped it live (an hour after the buzzer).
