245 - We asked AI to interview us...
Last Thursday at 12:00 PM

If you’re like us and using GPT (or Claude, etc) on a daily basis, then you have an AI that is gaining context about you constantly. With that in mind, we decided to ask AI to come up with questions they thought would be compelling for us to answer!

In this episode, we have two AI Speakers joining us to ask us questions about our businesses, content creation, and our lives. The AI voices were created using Descript and the questions were created via ChatGPT.

We thought this wa...

04/24/2025

04/17/2025

This is the second part of our discussion about retiring our WAIM Unlimited coaching program. We are going to do ONE final enrollment period in a few months and we answer some of your questions about this decision.

The questions we answered in this ep:

How are we feeling confident when it comes to the money side of this decision? Do we have savings? Other skills we can fall back on? Are we freaking out about this at all?Monthly coaching has been so valuable for our customers, why would we stop doing...

240 - Why we’re ending WAIM Unlimited (part 1)
03/27/2025

After six incredible years, we’ve decided to retire our flagship program, WAIM Unlimited (after one FINAL upcoming launch). In this episode, we’re walking you through exactly why we’re making this sizable change.

Retiring WAIM Unlimited didn’t come from burnout or panic… but from clarity, alignment, and a desire to move into our next chapter with intention. We’ve been business coaches for 72 months and we’re excited to take things in a new direction!

Here’s what we cover in this ep:

What a final enrollment...

239 - Spring 2025 Launch Recap (lower sales, big lessons, and future shifts)
03/20/2025

Our latest WAIM Unlimited launch was smaller than expected, but instead of panicking, we’re using it as a chance to adapt, experiment, and pivot.

In this launch recap episode, we’re breaking down:

The details of our Spring 2025 launch (amidst first trimester, new 6-month option, and our very minimal marketing effort)Why we think sales were lower this time (hello, economic uncertainty, changing buyer behavior, and declining web traffic)What we’re doing differently moving forward (getting back on social, refining our offers, and leaning into AI tools for creators)Our plans for WAI...

238 - We’re having a baby! 😱 (Fertility journey update)
03/13/2025

This episode is a special one—because we’re pregnant! 🎉 We want to share our journey so far, from navigating fertility struggles to getting our positive test (on New Year’s Eve, no less!), and what the first trimester has been like for both of us.

We’re covering:

The fertility challenges we faced (Ep #223), including two pregnancy losses and the diagnosis that changed everythingWhat it was like to start daily blood thinner injections and progesteroneHow we found out we were pregnant and why it felt different this timeCaroline’s first trimester experience (hello, nausea...

237 - 4 steps to make your next launch feel CALM
03/06/2025

This episode goes out to anyone who has felt stressed during a launch! We want to help change that for you and we have 4 steps that ensure your launches are calm, profitable, and feel effortless.

THE biggest mistake we see folks making when doing live launches is not enough planning and prep time (our own customer survey data showed 75% of people plan a launch in 4 weeks or less). Not giving yourself enough time leads to overwhelm, a lack of pre-marketing, and what we call a “floppy launch” (read: not many sales).

236 - Business is overcoming these 6 roadblocks
02/27/2025

Whether you’re JUST starting a business or you’re making a pivot, there are 6 roadblocks that likely get in your way. Are you stuck at just one of them or do all 6 have you in their grips right now?

In this ep, we explore the thoughts that keep business owners from moving forward (especially early on). The 4 Qs we mentioned in the episode that every biz owner needs to be able to confidently answer are:

Who do you help? Why does your business exist and why would someone choose you over your peer...

235 - 7 changes in online biz you shouldn’t ignore
02/20/2025

When we started Wandering AImfully in 2018 the online business landscape was in a lot of ways the same, but in some ways VERY DIFFERENT.

In this episode, we share 7 huge changes/shifts we’ve seen in the online business space. Some are obvious (🤖👀) and some have snuck up all of us.

The most important takeaway: You can either fight the current of change or you can turn into it — as much as feels right to you — and make a few concessions to continue to have a thriving business in 2025!

234 - We built an accountability app with NO CODE!
02/13/2025

If you can’t tell, we are pretty bullish on no-code tools right now and we’re excited to share this episode talking about how we built an accountability app/game for our membership community!

We walk through why we think creating tools is an alternate marketing path instead of creating content for social media. While everyone is focusing on Reels, TikTok, etc, you could be making tools without the need of a developer OR any design skills at all. The tool we’ve been using is called Lovable and you don’t need to know...

233 - Is NOW the right time to diversify?
02/06/2025

With all the hullabaloo around the TikTok ban, it’s got us thinking about the topic of diversifying your marketing versus focusing. Is it smart to put all your eggs in ONE marketing basket? How can you create safeguards for your business?

We’ve been huge advocates of email list building for 10+ years and while social networks come and go, our email inboxes are still the most valuable channel in our minds. Whether it’s TikTok, IG, YouTube, etc, we believe it’s never been more important to grow an email list that gives you some...

232 - Tools for managing self-sabotage
01/30/2025

Ahhhh, self-sabotage, otherwise known as overthinking or just unintentionally getting in our own way. We’re all guilty of it, but how can do it a bit less?

Whether it’s hiding in your “creation cave” or avoiding sending sales emails so you don’t feel sleazy, there are a handful of ways we limit our business potential that are of our own doing (we know, this is a tough love ep!)

We highlight 4 ways we’ve encountered self-sabotage and that we see from a lot of our community members. The...

231 - Invent a new social media app? (and other Qs!)
01/23/2025

If we could create an entirely new social media app, what would we do? Do creators have a responsibility to share their failures? What are our biggest business risks we’ve taken?

These questions and more came from our podcast producer (GPT 😂). There were some fun topics and we hope you enjoyed them. Let us know if you did and we’ll keep the AI-generated questions coming for future episodes.

Also, we did mention Lovable again, the AI app we’re gushing over to help us build tools without code!

230 - The BEST tool we've used in years!
01/16/2025

Today we’re excited to share what we feel is the biggest game-changing AI tool since OpenAI released GPT a few years ago. We’ll talk about why this tool has consumed all our free time and how we think it can be impactful for your business too!

The tool is called Lovable and it’s a no-code, prompt-style, app/idea development interface (that does NOT require you to know how to code at all).

229 - Predictions for 2025...
01/09/2025

We don’t normally do prediction episodes, but this year we thought it would be fun! At the end of 2025 we can look back and see how right/wrong we were (spoiler alert: we will probably be wrong in all of them — lol).

This year, Caroline will be focusing mostly on Wandering Aimfully (WAIM) and Jason will be focusing mostly on Teachery. We each shared two predictions that the other person didn’t know we were going to share about those businesses.

Then, we each brought 3 predictions for the online...

227 - How'd our first Black Friday deal in 7 years go?
12/12/2024

It’s hard to believe we haven’t sold anything on Black Friday/Cyber Monday in 7 years! But, this year it made sense for us and we break down why and how things went.

We cover: What we sold, what it took to put the sale together (emails, sales page, automations, etc), what mistakes we made, and the final revenue numbers!

You can see the sales page we created, learn more about the Calm Launch Formula ✌️🚀, and even get access to the free course preview we forgot to email about (lol...

226 - A (real) messy convo about social media
12/05/2024

We went back and forth on sharing this episode, as it’s one of our more “real” and honest conversations. While we love sharing polished thoughts with you all, our relationship with using social media is SUPER messy and so we figured we’d just record and have at it 😂.

Not sure there are big takeaways from this episode? Maybe just to find out if you’re #TeamJason or #TeamCaroline? Where do you stand with using social media for your business?

We’ll definitely record another episode (or two 🙈) as we solidify our...

11/21/2024

The Zooks are back behind the mics! After a 5-week trip back to the U.S. that included two hurricanes, two doctor’s visits, three bouts of sickness, and some sticker shock at prices and quality of things, we’re sharing how it all went.

In this episode, we’re also giving you an update on our fertility journey and the new findings with a bunch of blood work Caroline did to find some genetic conditions. We DO have a plan in place to move forward with our goal to grow our family and we’ll...

223 - Our fertility journey (so far) | Two early miscarriages in 3 months
10/03/2024

TW: miscarriage, pregnancy loss, chemical pregnancy, infertility

In this episode, we share our personal story of trying to conceive (TTC) earlier this year, which resulted in two very early miscarriages, also known as chemical pregnancies. Now that we’ve had some time to process, we wanted to give you more details about what's been going on behind-the-scenes for the past few months, the emotional rollercoaster of moving through these losses and navigating these uncharted waters together, as well as how this has shifted our priorities and played a role in our business decisions.

222 - Our Fall Launch recap (sales #s and takeaways!)
09/27/2024

It’s time for a recap of our latest launch of WAIM Unlimited! We share the sales numbers, the lessons learned, and what changes we are/aren’t making for the next launch.

Spoiler alert: For the second launch in a row, we did NOT hit our low goal 😬. BUT, we still had a successful 6-figure launch and welcomed in a great new group of WAIM members.

We share the positives, the negatives, the strategy we used for this launch, and then takeaways for what we’re going to tweak for...

221 - Teachery's Lifetime Plan experiment results
09/12/2024

Who wants to pull back the curtain and hear about a BIG experiment we ran with Teachery this summer? You do?? Then let’s dive into it!

In this episode, we talk about a huge shift in direction for Teachery as a business. What might seem simple on the surface to offer a Lifetime (Pay-Once) Plan to Teachery, is actually quite complex. We share how we got to this place, how the experiment went, and the risks we’re looking ahead at.

The initial results of our Lifetime Plan expe...

220 - Deconstructing our pre-launch strategy
09/05/2024

If there’s ONE thing we believe makes every launch successful, it’s having a pre-launch strategy. Specifically, we like using a 4-week email lead-up series based around a few key themes.

Over the past 10 years, we’ve used pre-marketing to get people ready to purchase all kinds of things. That strategy was never fully dialed-in and easy to share with someone else… until now!

If you’re looking to learn our specific 4-week pre-launch strategy AND get AI prompts that can create the exact pre-launch content discussed in this episod...

08/22/2024

Is the future of digital products and selling information online moving towards Done-For-You? We believe so and we’ll share why and what we’re doing about it (and what you should do too!)

In this episode, we talk about a big shift we’re seeing in customer behavior and how that impacts solopreneur creators. Having been in the online course industry for 10+ years, owning a course platform, and running a community of 1,500+ members, we have quite a bit of data that’s informing us.

217 - From 7 sales to $30,000 launch (Wayne Fick interview)
08/15/2024

We are doing something we’ve NEVER done before in 200+ episodes of our podcast… having a guest! We are excited to share this chat with our friend Wayne Fick, who, over the past two years, he transitioned from working with clients, having zero audience, to selling his own digital products, and building a calm business that he’s thoroughly enjoying.

Wayne started with his first product, which sold to just 7 people. Realizing it wasn't a good fit, he pivoted and a year later generated $30,000 in sales for his Canva course!

216 - Evergreen vs Launching 👀
08/08/2024

Evergreen sales are often painted as the ultimate dream: you fall asleep, wake up to sales, and money magically deposits into your account without lifting a finger. Sounds perfect, right? However, the reality of Evergreen is far from this idyllic picture…

This week, we discuss selling digital products Evergreen vs Launches. While Evergreen is often seen as the “easy,” passive income model, we believe there are a lot of hidden tactics and costs, not to mention a TON of technical setup and ongoing experimentation that is really difficult.

215 - This is the #1 key to getting MOMENTUM
08/01/2024

Since the beginning of the year, we’ve been on a mission to help more entrepreneurs build businesses that allow them to live a balanced life. We initially thought the key was giving our members one thing to focus on each month through our live coaching sessions. While this provided clarity, it also led to overwhelm as members felt they had to prioritize every aspect of their business equally. That's when we introduced the Un-Boring Business Roadmap to provide a clear sequence for tackling business tasks, which was a game changer.

However, our thinking ev...

07/11/2024

210 - Should you hire a team??
06/27/2024

There is a ton of glamorization when it comes to having a “team” in the online business world. Having employees can be a badge of honor, but is hiring the right fit for you??

In this episode, we share our thoughts on keeping our “team” small and not going down the path of hiring more people. We’re not saying hiring people is bad, but for us, managing people and the stress that comes along with it is not worth it at this time in our businesses.

06/20/2024

Is a CALM content creation plan possible? And can we do it for TWO businesses?? In this episode, we explore our content batching schedule and some of the processes we’re experimenting with this month.

We’ve been on a break from consistently creating social media and video content for nearly 3 years 😬. But, that’s all about to change and we’re getting back on the content creation train for both of our businesses.

208 - A BIG shift in our content focus
06/13/2024

After spending many years with an unfocused audience and nebulous problem we solve, we *THINK* we’ve finally landed on the right answer for our core business…. maybe?

One thing we know for sure, we’ve always operated Wandering Aimfully as generalists. We can help with email marketing, copywriting, branding, etc. Sure, we were always trying to help small business owners who care about being intentional, but that was very unclear and made our lives difficult when it came to positioning ourselves and our core product.
