It's been a while, but the Oilers have finally won a game of a series... again! Dustin Nielson will be joined by Tom Gazzola to recap last night's historic win, as the Oilers have now won five straight comeback victories. The boys will touch on the scoring depth, the Oilers' goaltending and preview tomorrow's game in Sin City. All that and so much more on today's edition of The Oil Stream! Edmonton Oilers kicked off round two with a bang as they comeback once again and take game 1, doubling up the Vegas Golden Knights 4-2. Edmonton were relentless, dominating for most of the night, with Zach Hyman scoring the winner in the third period and Connor Brown getting on the highlight reel with an absolute beauty goal to finish it off.

The Edmonton Oilers are heading to Sin City after defeating the Los Angeles Kings 6-4 to take the series 4-2. The Oilers got depth scoring and Calvin Pickard made some big saves on the night to lead the Oilers to a fourth straight win as they get ready for round two.

The Edmonton Oilers take a 3-2 series lead after picking up a 3-1 win in Los Angeles on Tuesday night. The Oil played their best game in months, outshooting L.A. 46-22 with Mattias Janmark scoring the winner in the third period and nuge adding the empty netter for the victory. Evander Kane continues to impress as he was force for Edmonton on the night and Calvin Pickard was steady between the pipes.

The Edmonton Oilers are back in the series after a 4-3 overtime win on Sunday night. Once again the Oil mounted a third period comeback with Evan Bouchard scoring the tying goal with 29 seconds left in the game. Edmonton would dominate in overtime, cashing in on the power play off of Leon Draisaitl's stick. The series is now a best of three and heads back to L.A. for game 5 on Tuesday night.

Evander Kane tied it at four late and Evan Bouchard scored the winner on the power play as the Oilers roll to a 7-4 win over the Los Angeles Kings in Game 3. Edmonton got off to a hot start, scoring two goals in the first period and took a 2-1 lead into the intermission, after that it was a rollercoaster, back and forth action in a loud Rogers Place. A questionable challenge by Kings head coach that ended up costing his team the game was the hot topic on the night.

The Edmonton Oilers lose ugly in game 2, falling 6-2 to the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday night. Not a lot to like from this game, as the Oilers penalty kill struggled once again, giving up 3 goals, while Stuart Skinner did not provide a big save and was pulled in the third period. The Oilers got goals from Leon Draisaitl and Viktor Arvidsson but didn't get much else from the forward group.

The Edmonton Oilers third period comeback fell short as Phillip Danault scored the go-ahead goal with 42 seconds left in the game to lead the Kings to a 6-5 win. Lots to discuss from the game as McDavid had four points, Stuart Skinner needs to be better,  brutal giveaways by Bouchard led to two goals and overall the Oil were good for only 20 minutes on the night which cost them Game 1.

Game 81 of 82 in the regular season wrapped up with the Oilers challenging the Kings and falling 5-0 in a scrappy affair.

Connor McDavid did not disappoint in his return to the lineup as he led the way with 3 assists in the Oilers 4-3 win over the St. Louis Blues. Connor Brown added two goals including the game winner with 21 seconds left in the game, while Vasily Podkolzin and Viktor Arvidsson added the other goals. With Calgary getting a point in their game versus the Anaheim Ducks the Oil weren't able to clinch a playoff spot on Wednesday night.

The Oilers finished off their four-game road trip with a 3-2 loss to the Anaheim Ducks. In his debut, Olivier Rodrigue made 18 saves on the night, while Adam Henrique and Jeff Skinner socred the goals for Edmonton. The downside for the Oil was going 0-for-6 on the power play and a couple of crucial turnovers led to the loss.

Trent Frederic made his Oilers debut over the weekend... but at what cost? The Oilers fall to the L.A. Kings without their big guns... the fellas will recap the Oilers shutout loss to the Kings, Frederic's debut as well as tee up tonight's game between the Oilers and Ducks. The Oilers were blanked by the Los Angeles Kings 3-0 on Saturday afternoon. The Oil did not generate much offence, making it easy on Kings goaltender Darcy Kuemper. Trent Frederic made his Oilers debut, showing well in seven minutes of ice time but would miss the last 15 minutes of the game due to an apparent injury. Calvin Pickard and the penalty kill were a few of the positives for Edmonton.

The Edmonton Oilers did in fact, skate away with a victory last night, however they did not come away unscathed as Leon Draisaitl did leave the game with an injury. That's three wins in a row for the Oilers as they get by the San Jose Sharks 3-2 in game two of their four-game road trip. It wasn't all good for the Oil as Leon Draisaitl left the game late in the second period due to injury and did not return. Viktor Arvidsson continues his strong play, scoring on the power play, while Jeff Skinner and Connor Brown added the other goals.

It was a slow start for the Oil but they found their legs in the second period, with Jake Walman, Leon Draisaitl and Viktor Arvidsson getting on the score sheet. Veteran goalie Calvin Pickard was solid on the night and Darnell Nurse had another great night defensively.

The Edmonton Oilers got back in the win column with a 3-2 OT victory over the Calgary Flames. Leon Draisaitl returned from injury to score his 50th goal of the season to tie the game late in the third and then would get the winner in overtime. Backup goaltender Calvin Pickard was solid once again between the pipes, while Darnell Nurse and Evan Bouchard were excellent on the backend.

It was an ugly night for the Oilers as they fall in Seattle by a score of 6-1. Zach Hyman scored the lone goal for the Oil and Calvin Pickard was pulled after 40 minutes, leading to Olivier Rodrigue getting his first taste of NHL action, playing in the third period and giving up one goal. Edmonton went 11 and 7 and were without veteran defenseman Mattias Ekholm due to a maintenance day.

The Oilers lost a close one on Wednesday night as the Dallas Stars held on for a 4-3 win. The Oil came on strong in the third, scoring three goals but in the end they couldn't find the equalizer. Goaltender Stuart Skinner left the game in the third period due to a head shot from Mikko Rantanen, with Kris Knoblauch saying he will not travel to Seattle in his postgame presser.
