An important trip to Madison awaits for the Iowa football team and the boys have the injury updates that could make the difference against the Badgers. Also, discussion of a huge commitment for Women’s Basketball and the upcoming hoops season.

An agonizing close loss to highly ranked Indiana is the center of conversation, but with a firm eye on the rest of the season.

An encouraging come from behind win at Rutgers has the fellas optimistic about a good showing next Saturday against the suddenly high-powered media darling Indiana Hoosiers. Also updates on the highly rated Soccer and Field Hockey teams.

The football non-conference schedule is over and it ended with some encouragement, although not necessarily outright enthusiasm. The fellas talk over the win over UMass, preview the game with Rutgers, and reminisce about Kirk Ferentz’s 206 victories over 27 years. Updates on Soccer, Field Hockey, Volleyball, and both Men’s and Women’s hoops too.

A bounce in the right direction here or there and this might have been a different show. Instead the boys break down Iowa’s three point loss at Iowa State and discuss why the upcoming tilt with a horrible UMASS team is actually very important.

It’s Cy/Hawk Week and the boys have a full show (no technical difficulties) getting you ready as they break down the win over UAlbany and push the pause button on QB panic.

Year 22 for the show opens with technical difficulties (shocker). Great conversation about the upcoming football season but certainly not a clean listen. Will be worked out next week. Consider this a primer for the rest of the show season.

Fully into March Madness, the women’s team wears out in a close loss to Ohio State but an upper half seed in the NCAAs is ahead. The men’s team saves its season and will play on thanks to a win at Nebraska. And the wrestlers disappoint at the Big Ten meet.

We are headed into March and postseason talk in all sports is on the minds of the boys at the huddle.

An exciting loss? That’s how the boys see the Women’s hoops team’s loss at #8 Ohio State with #3 UCLA coming to Carver Wednesday. The Wrestlers warm up for #2 Oklahoma State with two decisive victories. And the Men’s basketball squad continues to scrap and fight despite being undermanned.

Women’s Hoops and Men’s Wrestlers enjoy some rousing victories and have plenty to be optimistic about.

Lots to celebrate from a great Sunday for the Women’s Basketball team, the men’s team is in danger of unraveling, and the wrestlers are proven to be miles behind #1 Penn State.

For the first time in years the boys have hit a week where happenings did not produce a lot of hope, at least on the basketball court. Still, discussion of the future in hoops and positive wrestling news help them look forward.

Baseketball starts into the second half of the season officially and the wrestlers are finally back in action with a resounding win over Wisconsin.

Despite a rough week on the court, optimism abounds as the football staff is adding important pieces through the transfer portal and both the hoops teams are still looking like contenders for the NCAA tournament.

The football transfer portal takes center stage as Iowa fans are already looking at continuing the Kirk Ferentz legacy in 2025. Both hoops teams get splits on the week and head into the holidays with hope but room for improvement.

Iowa dominates Maryland on the football field bringing up the final regular season game for the year against Nebraska. Women’s hoops is just good…period. The wrestlers keep winning and the Men’s Basketball team disappoints in Kansas City.

Loads of early season basketball optimism and a QB question again for football.

A befuddling loss at UCLA was frustrating to say the least and who will be available against Maryland in two weeks is anybody’s guess. Fortunately, the winter sports are underway and all is well so far in wrestling and basketball.

Computer glitches cause a pretty rough start to the show…but things level out for a good discussion over 6 different sports!

Iowa’s quarterback situation is suddenly very clear…but a little scary. The defense came to play against NW and they’ll need to be just as good against Wisconsin. Basketball has tipped off and the other major fall sports are winding down.

A tough loss at Michigan State has the boys down but not out with a lot of season left to go. It’s also time for hoops to begin and wrestling is on the horizon as well.

A resounding victory over Washington was fun….but how much help will it be in moving into discussions for the College Football Playoff? And will the momentum carry over to the trip to Michigan State this weekend.

Can the Hawkeyes rebound after self-destructing on and off the field at Ohio State? Lots of discussion and basketball talk too.
