“FROM NOW ON, we live our lives in a manner CONSISTENT with our CONFIDENT BELIEF in God’s promises” FAITH is a MADE UP MIND! And the righteous are commanded to live by faith. Remember, Christ in me the hope of glory.

In John’s first epistle he tells us, “FOR THIS PURPOSE the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” John 10:10 (NKJV) “…I HAVE COME that they may have LIFE, and that they may have it more abundantly.” We see all these reasons Jesus came for us, but in Hebrews it makes it very clear, from our side of it, anyone who wants to go to Him, MUST BELIEVE that He is. Not only that, but He also rewards those who diligently seek Him.

Any disciple that’s walked with the Lord any length of time knows Romans 1, That the GOSPEL of Christ is the power of God to salvation for everyone who BELIEVES. For in the GOSPEL the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; AS IT IS WRITTEN, “The just shall live by faith.” GOSPEL— Gr. Euangelion, and what’s interesting about this Greek word is that outside of NT writings, this word was really used because it insinuates, “too good to be true news”

NEW CREATION— (Gr. Kainos) unprecedented— superior, unequaled, extraordinary, outstanding, exceptional, remarkable Ephesians 2, “And you HE MADE ALIVE, who were dead in trespasses and sins. Even when we were dead in trespasses, He made us ALIVE TOGETHER with Christ. And raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, For BY GRACE you have been saved THROUGH FAITH, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” BY GRACE — THROUGH FAITH

One reason is some of us don’t read the instructions. It’s real simple: read the manual (the Bible). Joshua 1:8 (NKJV) “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

He has given us the ministry of reconciliation. He has made us ambassadors. We are New Creations. And the same grace that changed how the Father sees us has to change how we see one another. So when prodigals come home, let’s make sure they encounter the Father in us, not the older brother. Because New Creations don't just receive restoration. New Creations have been given a ministry of reconciliation.

2 Corinthians 5:7 (AMP) “We walk by faith, not by sight, LIVING OUR LIVES in a manner CONSISTENT with our CONFIDENT BELIEF in God’s promises” Hebrews 11:1 (paraphrase) FAITH is the assurance of THINGS, we hope for FAITH is the proof of THINGS we do not see FAITH perceives as REAL FACT what is not revealed to the senses Think about it, does God actually expect us to live our lives according to the promises He’s left us? To live outside this natural realm? To govern our lives in accordance with His Word?

John 6:38 (NKJV) “For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but THE WILL OF HIM WHO SENT ME.” Like Peter, as long as I’m here I’m going to remind you of these truths, we cannot follow Jesus and disregard how many people received healing according to their faith.

NEW CREATION isn’t something God does for us but in us. Christianity is 100% God made! Our responsibility is accepting it, then yielding to our new lives. 2 Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV) For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God IN HIM. (NLT) For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the OFFERING for our sin, so that we COULD BE MADE RIGHT with God through Christ. (MSG) IN CHRIST, God put the wrong on Him who never did anything wrong, so we could BE PUT RIGHT WITH GOD.

John 20:30-31 (NKJV) And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written THAT YOU MAY BELIEVE that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that BELIEVING you may have life in His name. John’s revelation from the Father is that “The Word” is in fact the self-existent God Himself.

Romans 6:3-4 (NLT) Have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in BAPTISM, we joined Him in His death? For we died and were buried with Christ by BAPTISM. And JUST AS Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, NOW WE ALSO MAY LIVE NEW LIVES. Just like Jesus was raised, so are we, called to live life like Him, and it all starts with each of us embracing our NEW CREATION. Baptism is this beautiful acknowledgment of The Father, The Son, Holy Spirit, and YOU

THE WORD OF GOD IS THE WILL OF GOD Jesus is the WILL OF GOD on display in a human, born of the Spirit. So when we FOLLOW Jesus through the scriptures, He’s without question showing us what the Father’s will is. “If you’ve seen Me, you’ve seen the Father”

REVELATION CHANGES WHAT YOU SEE WHEN YOU SEE GOD AS YOUR SOURCE, YOU SEE MONEY DIFFERENTLY

When it comes to following Jesus, more specifically concerning our topic, the first thing any disciple has to get settled is the reality that God’s word is exactly that: GOD SPEAKING TO HIS CREATION. Which means that if we’re ever going to get to the place where we minister healing like Jesus did, this is foundational. THE WORD OF GOD IS THE WILL OF GOD

Let’s start with what Jesus told us about tithing. Remember, Jesus is the One who told us, “Give to Caesar things that are Caesar’s and GIVE TO GOD THE THINGS THAT ARE GOD’S.” Leviticus 27:30 (NKJV) “ALL THE TITHE of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, IS THE LORD’S. It is HOLY to the Lord.” Listen to what Jesus said: “Give to God the things that are God’s.”

You’ve heard me use this phrase so many times, “Until you see it, you don’t,” because by design God created His word to be a living, continually progressive reality that becomes real to each of His children according to their own pace. Remember, Jesus told us, “With the measure you use it, it’ll be measured back to you.” As a matter of fact the Lord told us that as we make ourselves available to Him through His word, our minds become renewed so that we can prove what is the perfect will of God in our own lives.

1 John 2:3-6 (NKJV) Now BY THIS we know that we know Him, IF WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS. 4, He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5, But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 6, He who says he ABIDES in Him ought himself also to walk JUST AS HE WALKED. Knowing about Jesus is in no way the same as knowing Him.

When it comes to following Jesus, there are things He put in motion specifically designed for He our new covenant. And possibly the key component of the new covenant is the fact that it requires a believer for it to actually work. Here’s something else to keep in mind, when it comes to our new covenant, as one of His children, one of His disciples, we don’t have to talk God into doing something that He’s already established in Jesus. Something He’s already put in motion.

1 John 5:11-13 (NIRV) Here is what God says about the Son. God has given us ETERNAL LIFE. And this life is found in his Son. Whoever BELONGS to the Son has life. 12, Whoever doesn’t belong to the Son of God doesn’t have life. 13, I’m writing these things to you who BELIEVE IN THE NAME of the Son of God. If God’s word is a lamp unto our feet? A light for our path? If His word truth? Exactly what does His word teach us when we follow Jesus? When you follow Jesus through the scriptures, what do you see? Acts 1:1 (NKJV) The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that JESUS BEGAN both to do and teach. Jesus began to do and teach. The book of Acts is still unfolding.

John 10:27, Jesus said, MY SHEEP HEAR MY VOICE, and I KNOW THEM, and THEY FOLLOW ME. Understand, following Jesus is a reality every disciple has to grow in. And make no mistake, it’ll never happen on accident.

1 John 5, He who BELIEVES in the Son of God has THE WITNESS in himself; and this is THE WITNESS, that God has given us ETERNAL LIFE, through His Son Jesus. The apostle John gives us the revelation of God’s Word being living spiritual reality. And by design, because of free will, the things of our eternal world all hinge on our BELIEVING what His Word reveals to each of us. It’s only through His word that we get glimpses of ETERNITY.

John 10:25-27 (NKJV) Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in My Father’s name, they bear witness of Me. 26, But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. 27, MY SHEEP HEAR MY VOICE, and I KNOW THEM, and THEY FOLLOW ME.”

In John’s gospel, Jesus said, I am THE WAY, and no one comes to the FATHER except through Me. If you’ve seen Me you’ve seen the FATHER. Believe Me, I am in the FATHER and the FATHER is in Me. And I pray for those who will believe in Me, that they all may be one, as You, FATHER, are in Me, and I in You; THAT THEY MAY HE ONE IN US, that the world may believe that You sent Me. Remember, “God is the Holy One, who inhabits eternity.” Our prayer with this talk is that we allow the apostle John’s revelation to give us a fresh, BORN-AGAIN, eternal perspective. You’ve gotta wrap your head around this, right now, regardless of your beliefs, you are an eternal being.

Spiritual realities are voice-activated. “Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth.” “Death and life are in the power of the tongue” so without question, right believing will produces right speaking. But since we are spiritual people, according to this passage, right speaking can absolutely influence our believing.

He who BELIEVES in the Son of God has THE WITNESS in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the TESTIMONY that God has given of His Son. 1 John 5:10-12 (NKJV) 11, And this is the TESTIMONY: that God has given us ETERNAL LIFE, and this life is in His Son. 1 John 5:10-12 (NKJV) 12, He who has the Son has LIFE; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 1 John 5:10-12 (NKJV)

Embracing the reality that we are redeemed by Christ alone. He has declared us His, through His sacrifice, by His purpose and for His purpose. This is what makes baptism such a powerful testimony. And I’m telling you, this side of Heaven, baptism is one of the most Heavenly things we can do.

Romans 4, ABRAHAM BELIEVED in God who gives life to the dead and CALLS THOSE THINGS which do not exist as though they did; ABRAHAM BELIEVED, and became the father of nations. So NOT BEING WEAK IN FAITH, he did not consider his own body, He DID NOT WAVER AT THE PROMISE of God through unbelief, but was STRENGTHENED IN FAITH, giving glory to God, And being FULLY CONVINCED that what GOD HAD PROMISED He was also able to perform.

Here’s where the majority of today’s Christians struggle: we don’t relate AUTHORITY with RESPONSIBILITY. In other words, when we fail to exercise our God-ordained authority, we basically limit God’s predestined plan.
