This week we focusing on the expanded Fifa Club World Cup, which kicks off on Saturday in the USA with 32 teams taking part, including four from Africa – Al Ahly, Mamelodi Sundowns, Esperance and Wydad Casablanca.

We look at the innovations at the tournament, what it means for Africa, and the chances of the African teams, and we hear from Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso.

This week we focus on the long-running court case following the death on the pitch of Martins Chineme in Nigeria. A court case found Nigeria's leading football bodies to be negligent for the death of Chineme, who had heart issues, and global players' union Fifpro says it’s a landmark ruling.
