Grass 2026
Siobhan Walsh, tillage editor from the Irish Farmers Journal to look at Grass 2026 — a major silage and grassland demonstration event taking place today in Kilkenny.
It’s also one of the first major opportunities for people across the farming sector to come together again since the Irish fuel protests 2026, so there’s added significance to it this year.
Punchestown 2026
I’m joined now by Conor O’Neill, CEO of Punchestown Racecourse, as the countdown continues to one of the biggest events in the Irish sporting and social calendar — the Punchestown Festival.
Each year, it draws thousands of racegoers from across Ireland and beyond, delivering not just top-class racing but a major boost to the local economy in Kildare.
Prayer Coach – Cyril Thomas
Our prayer coach slot now — and today I’m joined by Cyril Thomas.
We’re reflecting on a beautiful passage from the Book of Psalms — Psalm 84, verses 1 to 2, which says:
“How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty. My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.”

Cancer Trials Ireland
A major new all-island cancer trial is set to launch this spring, aiming to improve treatment for thousands of men diagnosed with prostate cancer every year.
The INSPIRE trial, led by Cancer Trials Ireland, will explore how advanced radiotherapy can reduce side-effects while maintaining excellent cancer outcomes — and it’s hoped it could make a real difference to patients’ quality of life.
Joining us now to tell us more is CEO of Cancer Trials Ireland Angela Clayton-Lea.
Church in Chains
We’re turning now to the situation facing Christians in Eritrea, where reports continue to highlight serious restrictions on religious freedom and ongoing imprisonment of believers.
To help us understand what life is like on the ground, and why this issue remains so urgent, we’re joined by David Turner from Church in Chains.
Tearfund Ireland
We’re now turning to the humanitarian situation in Lebanon, where ongoing conflict and instability have left many families displaced, with people forced onto the streets and struggling to find any sense of safety. Aid agencies continue to report widespread fear and urgent needs on the ground.
To bring us the latest update and also tell us how people here in Ireland can support the response, we’re joined by Amanda Prather from Tearfund Ireland.
Pete the Vet
Now, as we head into the warmer months, it’s not just us feeling the change in temperature — our pets need a bit of extra care too.
Joining us as always to answer your questions and share some expert advice is Pete Wedderburn — better known as Pete the Vet.
