Phillies starter Jesus Luzardo battled through 5.1 innings allowing two runs on six hits while throwing 105 pitches and striking out four. He left in the 6th with the Phillies trailing, 2-1. Both Nola and Giants’ starter Robbie Ray struggled in the opening frame throwing 74 pitches combined in the 1st inning. Nola surrendered 4 runs in the 1st, while Ray gave up two. Each pitcher walked in a run in the inning as well.
