Hurricane Helene cut a swath of cataclysmic destruction across the South last weekend, with much of the worst of it being in western North Carolina…which is profoundly upsetting considering it was a hurricane and that is the mountains. Could this lack of enthusiasm for campaigning have something to do with the fact that intricate and widespread plans have been put in place to ensure that Trump “wins” this election even if he loses?
