We surround ourselves with the elements that protect our four walls of foundation. Personal security is huge on our list of needs, and it requires a sense of knowing. But, in this age of major corporations failing not only consumers but their employees, walls are coming down. What are you doing to protect your path?

Those unrecognized moments when Fall is setting in and again this year you woke up not realizing the leaves have fallen from the trees. A major part of the story is now missing from your moments of all things right now.

We post a lot of stuff on social media. In all that you share, do you have a presence about you that might in fact inspire you to follow through with what you're messaging? Do you inspire yourself? Or do you rely on others to keep you afloat?

All we hear about at work is how bored people are. They're tired of giving to needy bosses. Upset that favoritism is rampant and for some sick reason you still can't figure out the winning combination at work. Ummm maybe the problem isn't them but rather you.

A sweltering hot summer day brings out all the living things inside a forest. Is the human the only one complaining?

It's a tough one to bite into. While growing up in the 70's and 80's I rarely if ever heard a teenager bitch about being exhausted with life and its daily challenges. Today, everybody, every age group is bitching, moaning and complaining about not having enough fuel to grow forward. WTF?

People still have a hard time envisioning that I played 1,700 seedlings into the surface of this forest floor in 1997. I'm shocked by the acceptance of the challenge as well. It's documented with photographs in my daily writing. The greatest lesson I learned putting those trees into the soil was how you should never never never trust a forest floor.

The very second we walk into our places of business the tone of the day is set. It's the roster! Who didn't show up? Who is the manager on duty? That roster controls your mindsets. Your guests or clients feel your negative vibe. Why? How can you change that?

We all say it, " I don't have time for this." Really? Yet you are willing to do that! I don't have time for this. Is it keeping you from your greatest victory?

I'm not saying using paper bags isn't good for the environment but it's not the go to when truly trying to save the planet. Begin a journey of preserving not just the trees but the legacy other generations will need to step forward with a better understanding of where we've been.

We will brag all day about the art of knowing and executing our skills as time managers. Are you really playing by the rules or just looking for an easy out? Time management isn't running out to play golf during business hours. That's conceit and self-serving because there's an entire team of people still trying to make it through their day. No matter how hard they work on time management there's no way they can get out to play. It starts at the top. Be the leader not the better than you.

When what's inspired and influenced us to reach higher levels of peace and success is no longer with us physically. It's now grown into a field of spiritual presence.

They can be one of the biggest pains in your life. Yet! The squirrel is a very powerful totem animal. Are you willing to listen, study then activate?

The apple tree on Larry Lane was shared with the earth long before we brought 17 hundred other seedlings to this itty bitty forest in south Charlotte. A single apple tree is one of the greatest storytellers but to get to it there has to be a longterm relationship of trust.

Constantly we are reminded of other people's anxiety and or stress. How does it sit inside you? Are you the end result of someone else's bad day. Because you are so loving and compassionate, it makes you an automatic target to get hit by other people's emotions. How do you protect your heart and soul growing forward?

A pocket forest. A collection of beautiful trees set inside an overcrowded human neighborhood. You can kill the trees to provide for man, but you can't steal the life out of a pocket forest? I've been in this pocket forest for 32 years and the energy grows with no way of stopping it.

Creatively I struggle with how we can write something one day and we revisit it 8 years later. It doesn't feel like that much time as moved through us! How are we supposed to live in the present if we locked in on the events of the past? Preparation is the answer. What?

We're all extremely guilty of sacrificing a huge chunk of our life in the name of keeping peace on your street. What we do for others physically takes away from your efforts and dreams and most of the time you aren't getting that space back. As long as you offer your energy to others they will endlessly depend on it. Breaking that cycle in the way of realizing your own set aside dreams.

It's completely natural to base your life story on the interpretation of where you presently stand. I'm no doctor to tell you it's healthy but the junk needs to get out of your trunk. We play the telephone game with how it really went down. Each time a subject is brought up it's given a little twist. After a few years leading into decades... what's the real adventure?

Living in a forest for over three decades introduces your senses to many different experiences. One of them being the scent of death. Pulling back the lens, what can we learn from a change in the atmosphere that doesn't agree with our visions of moving forward?

When we receive are we willing to share? They say that when you die you can't take anything with you. I don't agree with that. If you do not plant your gifts received in life forward by sharing with those next in line, you took it. It was never yours to keep.

Being a huge part of the digital generation has come with a massive price that's come due. Being physically disconnected from human contact has turned us into solo hot shots that rely on text messaging and camera phones to think we are united with all we come in contact with. That's not how we were designed. The new age of friendship and family has finally turned itself around and we are getting together in ways where we can smell each other's breath.

We're constantly complaining about how fast life is moving. What if we started walking and learning things at a snails pace? Do we really need that much information in one lifetime?

A man once said to me that his generation used to rely on the physical use of awareness to be able to predict weather and other unstablizing conditions.  It taught me how to listen to a forest.  Tree's collect an ample amount of friends but are you choosing to take note?

We're all guilty of it. We run from shadows and shade. Yet while walking through a forest although the temperature will change, we keep marching forward. When then while our minds are filled with shadows and shade do we feel like a wall is keeping us from maintaining the full vision of success?
