In this episode we’ll look at a few days that will be much above and much below normal. We’ve also got a widespread rainfall anticipated. Lastly, we’ll look at the upcoming summer season outlook and how El Niño might affect it.
May showers
In this episode we’ll look into the next several days. No soaking rain is extracted, but there will be several showers chances. It’ll be below normal too, with a blocky pattern in the east and an upper trough.
Raw weekend
In this episode we’ll look at the next few days. We’ve gotten chilly and wet weather on tap, and we may not clear it until late Sunday at the earliest. We’ll also review how tornadoes form, as we’re going deeper into severe storm season.
Spring chill
In this episode we’ll look at frosts and freezes expected the next couple of days. We’re also watching for a gradual warm up later in the week though. No big rainfall is in the cards.
Easing into a cooldown
In this episode we’ll recap the week’s heatwave, as well as the records we smashed. We do have a chance of showers and thunderstorms coming through as a front sags south. Much cooler air will arrive next week, with a flip to temperatures well below normal and a possible frost.

We may have biggest snowfall in over 5 years for NYC and Long Island. This is likely to be accompanied by strong winds and coastal flooding, and maybe even blizzard conditions. We’ll break down the latest model trends, and look at when it’s going to stop.
Snow tonight, but a milder pattern awaits
A weak low that has been torturing forecasters will bring some light accumulating snow tonight. Afterwards, the pattern will become more west-east oriented with milder weather and weaker systems. It will become unsettled though as a front stalls nearby later in the week.
President’s Day Weekend Flakes?
In this episode we’ll look at the forecast over the next several days. Temperatures will finally climb back to near seasonal norms, but we can’t rule out a couple of periods of snow.
Snow and extreme cold
