Heather Kolwich, M.A. CCC-SLP, HWC, RYT-200 has a private practice in Speech Language Pathology and Health Coaching. She holds a Honors Bachelor of Science degree in Cell Biology from University of Southwestern Ontario and a Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology from Wayne State University. Supercompensation for Brain Stress

Supercompensation is a sports science theory: cycling intense training sessions followed by a recovery period leads to better physiological adaptations (i.e. strength gain, speed). We can use this same principle for our brain health to help our brain manage stress.

How to Overcome Procrastination and Create Brain Healthy Habits

Why do we procrastinate? It is because we are trying to stop certain behaviors and start new ones. 

It is because our brain goes into fear mode, wanting to give up because of the discomfort of the magnitude of change. It is easier to give up then to keep going forward.

This is exactly what I help my coaching clients with. I help them to overcome the fear, the procrastination, the limiting behaviors and beliefs so they can finally create a healthy brain and body.
