Imogen Ayris has made another career breakthrough, clearing 4.81m in the women’s pole vault at the Paavo Nurmi Games.

Competing just days after her first Diamond League podium in Rabat, Morocco, Ayris returned to competition in Turku, Finland, overnight.

Lining up in the World Athletics Continental Tour Gold meeting proved fruitful for Ayris as she improved her previous best from 4.70m to 4.81m, winning and setting a new meet record.

Isaac Hutchinson: Chiefs fullback on Wallace Sititi's head clash in the team's match against the Reds

Chiefs loose forward Wallace Sititi is experiencing no problems following a nasty head clash in the Super Rugby qualifying win over the Reds in Hamilton.

Now at home, Sititi says he feels good after scans at Waikato Hospital didn't reveal any issues.

Chiefs fullback Isaac Hutchinson is rapt his team mate is alright, following the frightening scenes which saw Sititi convulsing on the field.

Jack Mesley: Super Rugby CEO on the Super Rugby finals being set

Next weekend will see an all-New Zealand Super Rugby semifinals, as the Chiefs host the Crusaders while the Hurricanes will see the 'lucky loser' Blues come to town.

Last night's action saw the Crusaders beat the Blues 52-31, while the Chiefs knocked out the final Australian team in the Queensland Reds with a 46-24 win.

Super Rugby CEO Jack Mesley explained further.

Ngane Punivai: Hurricanes winger reflects on hat-trick, Super Rugby Pacific qualifying final win over Brumbies

The Hurricanes have breezed into the Super Rugby semi finals after rolling the Brumbies 66-12 in Wellington. 

Ngane Punivai grabbed a hat-trick off the bench as the Hurricanes scored nine converted tries with Ruben Love finishing 100 percent off the kicking tee. 

He told Piney he was pretty lucky the boys did all the hard work in the first half so they had a lead by the time he entered the pitch. 

“I was able to come on and just have a bit of fun and express myself.”

The Super Rugby Pacific playoffs have begun.

The Crusaders put a rotated Hurricanes side to the sword in Christchurch yesterday, running out 47-14 winners. 

Newly capped centurion Sevu Reece dotted down for two tries and was handed the kicking tee from the sideline by first five Taha Kemara after his second. 

The week leading up to the game was very emotional and full on, Reece told Piney, full of reflecting on the journey that led him to this game.
