This next show is special to me because I met Dr. Sonya Reddy at the height of the pandemic. She came on my show some four years ago, and I saw brilliance. I think she did too because she built a dental empire. I think she was burning the candle at both ends and in the middle, and so we're going to be talking from burnout to breakthrough with the great Dr. Sonya Reddy.

Most of us would feel blessed if we could run one large company in our life, but the man who is sitting next to me has led three very large companies: GameStop, Kinkos, & Laura Mercier. He says failure is the best teacher. Gary Kusin is in the studio.

My next guest and I share a similar journey. We both spent a lot of years in news, and then we got tired of telling murder stories so we both left. I am privileged to have in the studio Chris Thieneman. He played for the Cowboys briefly a couple of decades ago, and he has an incredible story. He goes by The Kentucky Cowboy, but there's a bigger story than that. He was named the Kentucky Cowboy by Tom Landry when he was just ten years old.

In any conversation about legendary oilmen, you have to talk about T. Boone Pickens, who passed a few years ago at the age of 91 and was one of the most philanthropic people in Dallas-Fort worth. Jay Rosser is in the studio right now. He's the director of the T. Boone Pickens Foundation.

I love how life brings people back together. My next guest is a good friend. She's been a friend for probably 25 years, and she came back into my life through the DFW Press and Media Club that is getting back together. Laura Schakosky is in the studio. She's a celebrity makeup artist and a soul therapist.

There's something about the American diet. Can we all agree that the stuff they put in our food is just not supposed to be there? My wife and I took a beautiful trip to France last year. We did a lot of walking. We ate like gluttons, and both of us lost weight. I'm convinced that it's really how they process their food. At the time I became a young reporter, I couldn't even imagine life after news. But I decided to call it quits in 2008, and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made.
