There are a billion business books, and let's be honest, a lot of them are boring. It's a lot of Harvard jargon, and they seem to drag on. I love my next author because she has come up with this amazing book, Carrots Are For Closers, and she was inspired by her dog. Vicki Cravens is in the studio.

When I wrote my book 20 plus years ago, I started thinking about PR people in Dallas-Fort Worth who impressed me, and I included a press release in my book, Free Publicity. It was a perfect public relations campaign, and I have the people behind it in the studio right now: David & Carolyn Alvey. They are with Aardvark Communications.

As long as I can remember, I've been obsessed with excellence. I remember in my TV news days, even though the camera person would be in charge of editing my story, I would edit it myself because I wanted it just right. Now I started this public relations firm and a podcast network, and I'm still obsessed with excellence. That's why I have my next guest on the show. Mike Garabedian is in the studio. I'll tell you one of the reasons I came to Dallas in the early '90s was because of the television show Dallas. I was watching it up in Michigan, and Dallas just seemed so glamorous. The towers, J.R. Women need to read this to give to their future husband or boyfriend. Read this book because this will tell you a lot about how to relate to women. The great Rod Warner is in the studio. He's with Rod Warner Counseling, and he's the author of this bestselling book.

One of the fastest growing groups in America is people who are car enthusiasts, and they just don't have enough garage for all their cars. I think about Jay Leno, and I think about so many other people who collect cars. In the studio today is the co-founder of Garages of America, Jack Griffin.

There's an old saying, "There are two important days in your life. The day you were born and the day you know why you were born." My next guest realized when she was just a child that she had a gift for healing, and so, in the studio today, Dr. Madeline Johnston. She's with Addison Chiropractic.

We have some of the best doctors on the planet in the United States, and unfortunately, I think the whole health care system is built on taking care of sick people. Prevention is the key, and today we have someone who was talking about prevention and wellness before it was cool. In fact, you got some arrows in your back talking about this in the 60s. Dr. Kenneth H. Cooper is the father of aerobics, and he's the author of the new best-selling book that we're going to talk about: Grow Healthier As You Grow Older.

We have some of the best doctors on the planet right here in the United States. Unfortunately, so many of them are tied up in meetings with patients for five minutes that they don't really have time to get to the bottom of the problem, so they're writing prescriptions all the time. To talk about wellness today is the great John Shero, the founder and CEO of Visionary Wellness and Imaging.

When I got to Dallas in the early '90s, I had the privilege of working with the great Chris Yates. He's won Emmys, done amazing things with his career, and gone on to do even more amazing things post-television. The great Chris Yates is in the studio.

If you think about America's heroes, the veterans who go off to war and put their lives on the line for our freedom, they come back, and often many of them are struggling. Famously, we hear that 22 veterans commit suicide every single day. For a different way to look at PTSD and dealing with depression among our nation's heroes, there are the folks who are on my show right now: the co-hosts of The Agrihood, Gene Callaway & Jason Mitchell.

I think every generation likes to complain about the next generation, but we could go back to the days of the cavemen when they were complaining about their kids and how entitled their kids are.
