05/19/2025

Episode 621. We read and react to a Sounds Magazine review of the four KISS solo albums from October 14, 1978. The reviewer is Geoff Barton.

“First spins revealed that Gene Simmons’ solo LP sounded almost exactly like a Kiss platter, that Ace Frehley’s independent attempt sounded well night indistinguishable from a Kiss original, that Paul Stanley’s individual album sounded too close to a Kiss disc to be true… but that Peter Criss’ package was another jar of make up entirely.”

“Although in some ways these four may only give added weight to the old adage the whole is gre...

Episode 617. Michael and Mark share their thoughts and review of the new KISS Off The Soundboard from the 1985 Asylum tour. It is great to finally have a live show with Bruce Kulick and Eric Carr. It is great to have the Asylum tour represented. We are glad to have purchased this release, but…

KISS Rock And Roll Over

(Casablanca Import)

MUCH, MUCH against my better nature I must admit to having had quite a laugh listening to this one. Kiss however are pushing themselves into amusingly ghastly quarters in the numbered vault.
