Kim Nguyen-Penaloza made history in 2016 as the first Latina and youngest person elected to the Garden Grove City Council at only the age of 25 and is now running for the 45th Congressional District. Kim is the daughter of a Mexican immigrant mother and Vietnamese refugee father and the first in her family to go to college. Kim recently gave birth to her first child, Penelope Luna Penaloza and seeks to be a voice for working mothers.Â
