Chatting With Casey

Most people know Uncle Kracker from his massive hit songs like "Smile," "Follow Me," his excellent version of Dobie Gray’s "Drift Away," and "When The Sun Goes Down," his collaboration with Kenny Chesney.  But did you know that Kracker got his start as Kid Rock's DJ?  Great story!  He tells the story, talks new music, and gets us ready to see him this weekend at Rock The Country in Gonzales, LA.  He goes on Saturday evening at 5.

Koe grew up in Texas, influence by his mom to sing.  Fast forward to now, and Koe has his own unique blend of Country, Rock, and other styles, combining to make him one of the most talked-about artists out there in any genre of music.  Koe will be part of Rock The Country this Friday in Gonzales, and he called to chat music, football, and played a game of "101 seconds with... Koe Wetzel."

Kid Rock is going to be headlining all of the upcoming Rock The Country shows.  There are seven dates and it all kicks off this weekend in Gonzales, Louisiana.  We talked about Rock The Country, old and new music, and more, and I had to ask... just who is that "Huge Surprise Guest" that is going to be featured at Rock The Country Saturday night in Gonzales before Kid Rock takes the stage?

Kolby Cooper is part of Rock The Country, a massive two-day festival taking over the Lamar Dixon Expo Center April 5 and 6 starring Kid Rock, Jason Aldean, Travis Tritt and more.  Kolby was nice enough to take a few minutes out of his day to call and chat.  We talked about his original aspirations to play football, the moment he realized that he'd rather play music, and he played a game of "101 Seconds With..."
