By: Fr. Patrick Gonyeau

Hi! This is Fr. Patrick Gonyeau, a priest in the Archdiocese of Detroit, and I'd love to share with you the Word of God. I was once an agnostic and dared God to show me He was real...and the rest is history. There is no greater gift that we can receive than Jesus Christ who brings us the joy of salvation! It is my hope and prayer that these homilies bring to you and those you share them with the joy of knowing and loving Jesus...who is calling all of us! Check out my FREE Christian folk albums...

Who has He raised?
03/18/2024

In John 11, we experience the stunning words of Jesus, "I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die." (Jn 11:25-26)  Demonstrating His power to raise the dead, Jesus calls Lazarus out of his grave.  It's epic to say the least!  And so is the raising from death that happens in the gift of baptism. (Rom 6:4)

The Divine "I Love You"

After the man born blind was healed by Jesus, he was blessed to come to faith in Christ and worshipped Him. (Jn 9:38)  Worship is a beautiful act of prayer and an encounter with God.  We consider herein a particular form of worship that helps us to experience the divine "I love you" from God.

His Passion Manifesting in You

Meditating on Jesus cleansing of the temple, we grasp that as members of His Body, Jesus has a great passion for our lives as well.  Remembering what God revealed to St. Paul, "God is the one who, for his good purpose, works in you both to desire and to work." (Phil 2:13) we consider how the passion of Jesus manfiests by blessing us with the graces of holy desires in our lives.
