After their daughters leave for college and medical school, Alice is excited about buying a new beach house in South Carolina. At last they can do things together as a couple. Pooyan, her Iranian-American husband, is not so happy and seems depressed about their children leaving home. A disgusting and mysterious creature appears on the beach and changes everything.
