Welcome to the Friday Night BeerBlog! When I started my blog in 2019 it was my practice to read it for my husband, Mike, and look for a sign of approval before hitting PUBLISH. As quarantine wore on and I started my first podcast, The New Old You, I decided it would be fun to use the podcasting tool to record our Friday night sessions because the conversations can get lively, especially if three beer Mike shows up. FNBB 48 - Don't Let COVID Bite You In The Ass On The Way Out The Door
On this week's episode we're talking about how COVID kicked the McShane house in the ass this week. Not fun. But it sounds like many people have been in the same boat.
No COVID for 22 months and then suddenly. But luckily our bush with it came post-vaccine and post-booster. I am thankful for that.

FNBB 47 - Are We All Just Living In The Matrix?
In the first FNBB of the New Year, we're going deep.
I'm asking if the ego is keeping us living in the Matrix and if we take the red pill we are suddenly able to hear our intuition and see all the possibilities available to us.
Yeah, like I said....Deep.

This is the LAST official Friday Night BeerBlog of 2021. And I have a guest sitting in me tonight in the place of Mike. Cate is with me while Mike spends some time with his mom. And that is where he needs to be.

FNBB 44 - All Goals Are Not Created Equal
We just got back from the 2021 Cyclocross National Championships where Mike aka The Pickle finished 6th in the country. You'd think he'd be happy, especially since his goal was to finish in single digits. But no, immediately he wished he had done better to be on the podium of top 5 of the race. Always a bridesmaid.
We talk about needing to celebrate all intention goals and not get down about not reaching outcome goals. You can only grow that way.

It's the week before we travel to Chicago for the United State Cyclocross National Championships. The McShanes have a long history with this race and we're talking about it and our hiatus and now our (hopefully) triumphant return.
