Mobile Sports Betting (MSB) apps and sites were launched in New York State January 2022. To kick off season 2, we are joined again by Jim Maney, Executive Director of the NY Council on Problem Gambling (NYCPG), to discuss what the landscape looks like for NYers. There are concerns because this expansion dramatically increases access and availability to gambling opportunities. Neighboring states who previously launched MSB apps saw increases in rates of problem gambling. NYCPG is working to prepare partners, providers, and communities across the state to advocate for supports and services.

For our season finale, we are joined by Scott, the New York Council on Problem Gambling's first ever Peer Recovery Support Advocate. Scott openly and honestly shares his story about his addiction to gambling, consequences he faced, and his journey to recovery. He brings authenticity and genuine care and concern to his work. It is our hope that his powerful words let others know they are not alone and help is available.
